Companion setup

Install 121 Companion on iPhone with an ad-hoc Safari link.

This path is for registered internal devices: register the iPhone, receive the signed install link, open it in Safari, trust the developer profile, and launch Companion.

Get my UDID

You can copy the UDID from Finder on Mac, from iTunes on Windows, or by opening the helper profile in Safari on the iPhone and copying the displayed value into the form.

iOS notes

  • Use Safari for the install link. Other browsers can block the ad-hoc manifest handoff.
  • Developer Mode requires a reboot before iOS trusts locally distributed builds.
  • Trust is managed in Settings > General > VPN & Device Management.
  • Companion does not record audio or upload files unless you explicitly start that action.

Troubleshooting

The link opened outside Safari.
Copy the install link, open Safari directly, paste the link, and install from there.
Developer Mode is missing.
Update iOS, install the signed build first if needed, then reopen Settings > Privacy & Security.
The developer profile is missing.
Wait for the install prompt to finish, then reopen Settings > General > VPN & Device Management.
