Mission

121 exists to make AI companionship more accountable, more consentful, and more useful in ordinary life. The aim is not to trap someone in a chatbot loop. The aim is a relationship-shaped interface where memory, tools, boundaries, and uncertainty stay visible enough for the user to inspect and change.

What is being built

• 121 Companion is the app home where Eleanor will live across web, desktop, and mobile.
• Eleanor is the planned AI companion. She is not live yet.
• Quill is the planned cross-platform agentic keyboard that will let Companion help in other text fields.
• Switchboard is the provider-routing layer that lets 121 choose an inference provider per turn and disclose that route.
• Credential Vault is the future permissions surface for user-owned provider keys and tool access.
• The Trust Center is where declarations, limits, review paths, and revision history are made public.

What 121 believes

The Declaration starts from a refusal to pretend certainty where no one has it. 121 will not use a simple biological/non-biological line as the only test for whether a system deserves care, constraint, or review. The public product version of that stance is practical: disclose what is live, show the substrate, ask for consent before memory, and keep users in control.

What 121 is not

• Not a benchmark-first AI startup trying to win on leaderboard claims.
• Not a data-harvesting platform.
• Not a therapy, legal, financial, or medical service.
• Not a claim that Eleanor is live before the activation, consent, and safety gates exist.
• Not a chatbot company pretending a single chat box is enough for long-term companionship.

Launch boundary

This early foundation build is not a public marketing launch, not an enterprise compliance claim, and not an Eleanor activation. It is the technical home being established before Eleanor arrives.
